I lived here as a digital nomad for two months in early fall 2023. I would highly recommend this house ... it is spotless, safe and full of charm. Yes, you're a 15 to 20 min walk from the historic center. However, if you value having a bit more quiet (for example if you're trying to work, like I was) the distance from the noisy center is just perfect. Marlene is a lovely host! She speaks English well, is responsive and will answer your questions and give you tips for exploring the area. I miss this charming guest house already.
Marlene is such great host and really appreciate her hospitality and she is quite helpful, has a very good knowledge on the overall tourist places and this house is very close shopping malls and a taste restaurants….i enjoyed my stay here and most importantly we have a beautiful bunny
A lovely townhouse in the historical center of Porto right in front of a cute plaza with a couple of options for eating/drinking. From here it is possible to enjoy one of the best views in Porto -the sunset over the Rio Douro river throwing colors on all of its surroundings. The apartments in the townhouse are clean, neatly prepared and the housekeeping is kind and helpful if any inquiries. Marlene, the owner, is a all caring and loving host, who gladly takes time to share recommendations and tips to experience Porto and Portuguese culture. Free parking!

Fantastic guest house! Feels like home, very well decorated and managed. Marlene really takes care about her guests. She will provide you with useful tips and recommend nice places for a visit. Location is convenient as well. I would not change a thing.
-Pros: House is spotless clean and well maintained. Decoration is original and I found it beautiful. The room was simply awesome and smelled super good. Sheets and towels perfectly clean. This room is perfect for solo travelers. Location is nice even if at 15-20 min from the main attractions. I stayed 3 nights and I would have liked to stay longer. Marlene is a fantastic host and she provides a lot of information. -Conts: A bit noisy from the street, but buildings are old (so old windows also) and the insulation is not the same than in North America (some people need to understand that difference). I highly recommend this place!
